Poland!!

So how is everyone doing? It's been a while but as I absolutely love posting, I thought I would show you whats been going over the past 6 weeks or so! There's been lots of partying, doing university work, fixing and sorting things, and POLAND!

Last week for 4 days I visited Poland with one of my good mates Ellie. We both had decided previously we wanted to visit Poland, as well as Eastern Europe, and last weekend was when we finally went. IT WAS AMAZING. Such an experience!

This sums up all of the experiences out there:

Cheap beer (£1.20 a pint), fun nights, 2 out of 3 drunk, Auschwitz, The Salt Mine, Bar Smak, our Hotel Swing, Cringy, tonnes of chruches, Sinagogues, amazing transport system! Free rides, private parties we werent invited to, sex shops, free spa, litre bottles of wine.... And many many more.

Im Back Guys!

Okay so I am so so sorry it's been so long since I've posted, but now I am back for good!

Here's a very brief run down on everything that's happened over the past 4 weeks or so.

Split up with boyfriend (as I explained in the previous post) and moved into a new house where there was a spare room. Started back at university and also bought a car. However the car insurnace was cancelled by my ex and so have been trying to sort out new insurance... But still not sure if I want to keep it or not. Then my little pink scooter got stolen so have been sorting that out too!

Things have settled down a bit now and so feel I am able to get back into the world of blogging once again :)

Just wanted to say guys that I've just split up with my boyfriend and am now back at my mums house for now... Long story made short I didn't love him anymore and thought it was only fair that I ended it now rather than later and make the situation worse.

So while I'm looking for a permanent place to live please bear with the lack of posts, as soon as it's sorted I will carry on as usual :)

Autumn Fashion for 2010

Today is the 15th of September and I was coming home yesterday from work and I couldn't help but notice how Autumny it felt. The leaves were dropping off the trees and it had just been raining so there was that distinct smell which always reminds me of Autumn. The bottom of my trousers got wet and I knew I should have taken my umbrella.

Then I thought, "Hang on, I'm not ready for Autumn yet!" It seemed to me like it was still too warm to be Autumn but then yesterday said different! So how do you make that transition from Summer to Autumn without feeling sweaty and hot or not warm enough??

Well, I was thinking along these sort of lines. Wear some nice boots and thin tights with a dress and cardigan? Or maybe skinny jeans with tops were you can add layers on if needed. I've looked around the internet and here are some of my ideas:

Dress, Knee-high Socks, Black flat boots, Bow Beret, Worker Boots, 70 Denier tights, Grab Bag, Knitted Cardigan, Box Owl Ring, Suede Necklace

I know there's more of certain things but I thought with this cute little dress you can mix and match the items for variety. Here are some more accessories I thought would be great for Autumn:

Bear Beanie, Croco Bag, Snood, Woven Scarf, Coral Ring, Buckle & Stud Boots, Floral Umbrella, Flower Corsage, Mini Hair Straighteners (only £10!), Hoop Charm Earrings.

With the accessories I've gone for a pale colour theme with peaches and browns, rather than dark colours as I feel everyone always goes for the darks when it starts to get cold but that's boring! I added the mini straighteners in there as more often than not my hair gives into the harsh cold and goes frizzy.

Let me know what you think about all this, I absoultely adore browsing through shops when it hits new season.

Okay so I have internet (only because I'm at my mums, babysitting dogs whilst she is in hospital this week) and I am missing blogging so very much so I've decided to do a Moreishness for this week! Since I've had limited internet access, I thought I would show you some quality links and things which I thought you would enjoy!

For those of you who don't know, I am now the proud owner of a car!! A little Daewoo Matiz 800cc (not much more than my scooter but hey ho):

10 Things I Love About Being At Uni

Unless you haven't started university yet this year, by now you will know what it's like to be at uni. There is so much to appreciate and you more than likely won't have this experience again so now is the time to make the most of things!

For those of you who haven't started yet, these are the things to be looking out for!

1. The parties. After spending a whole year at university you will realise that when you aren't doing assignments/working, you are out partying! There is literally a party most days of the week somewhere and so it is definitely worth taking advantage of as no doubt when you go home for the summer your social life will dampen.

2. Meeting new people. Starting university for the first time was scary and exciting at the same time. But then I realised, everyone else there was in the same boat. This made it really easy to meet new people and I have met some amazing people along the way. Don't pass up any chances where you might meet new people as maybe one day you might need them and it doesn't hurt to have more friends!

3. The chance of a better future afterwards. Although obviously we go to uni for the parties and drinking, once you've worked hard for your degree you have a much better chance of finding your dream job afterwards. That is why going to university is almost like an investment - for your future. It has been proven that unemployment is a lot higher for people who have no degree so don't squander your chance as there will be a job you are going to enjoy & get paid more for doing it at the end.

4. Learning something new. I found that whilst I was working before I started university I was getting good money, but I didn't feel challenged enough. Being at uni means that you will be learning lots of new things and will challenge your mind which can only be a good thing. You never know when you might use the things you are being taught (even if it is only in a pub quiz) so it is definitely worthwhile.

5. The discounts/free stuff. In the first week of uni last year I swear I had masses and masses of free vouchers and coupons shoved into my hand which I still haven't used. Being a student means you have less money and so we tend to get things for cheaper/at oap price or free which is amazing and I love it. Make the most of interest free overdrafts, cheap cinema tickets, free/discounted pizza, etc. and you will be well on your way to saving money.

6. The cheap drinks. Along with all the free stuff you get given as a student, definitely make the most of the cheap drinks during the week. Weekend prices tend to be double what you would pay as a student so get out there with your mates and get those budget beverages.

7. Being able to buy lots and lots of stationary. I always need an excuse for buying stationary as I am actually addicted to it. I just love having a clean diary and being organised, so being at university gave me the perfect excuse.

8. Field trips. This may not apply to all courses but definitely during mine (Geography) there was plenty of field trips including on to the seaside. Obviously it wasn't that fun as it was mid october and was freezing cold, wet and windy. But no doubt it gives you a chance to explore somewhere new whilst doing something you enjoy.

9. Pigging out when deadlines loom. Deadlines are the funnest part of university as it brings stress and stops you from going out. But I did enjoy being holed up at my computer desk sat with pizza, fizzy drinks and chocolate whilst I worked away - it was the perfect excuse. Even better, get your mates round and do work together. That way you get to have fun with your friends, pig out, and finish work!

10. All the spare time you could ever want. I think last year I spent around two and a half days at uni in autumn and 1 and a half days in spring. The spare time was great, it meant I could laze around all day if I wanted, without anyone caring. Just make sure you don't spend too much time being lazy as there is a reason why you have this time (for doing extra work/reading of course...).

How To Take Amazing Notes

It's only after doing the first year at university that I can now reflect on my performance and analyse. I have to say that note taking has been one of my strong points as I always try and get the important stuff down during boring lectures and I thought I would share some ideas with you! Picture this:

You are sat at the back of a lecture hall which is about a subject you don't particularly like the sound of with only a pad and pen. You notice some people have laptops with them and during this, your lecturer starts talking and you miss the very first thing he says. Because of this you have to scramble about getting the page ready and try to get down as much as possible. The lecturer is obviously talking way too fast though (as most of them do) and don't even acknowledge the fact everyone is scribbling at high speed and doesn't slow down. By the end of the lecture you've made notes on the things you thought were important but got a little bored and slowed down towards the end. Time to head home!

What can you see that's wrong??

To be honest, sometimes it's very difficult to stay up to speed when lecturers are just talking away with a power point slide show up so something is bound to suffer. However there are some things you can do to prevent forgetting/losing important bits during note taking which I hope you find useful!

1. Prepare before lecture.

Since starting university last year, most of the lecture notes have been posted on the internet to be printed beforehand or just to get a grip with what was going to be said. Find time to read or print these so you get a feel for the coming lecture. Highlight certain parts you think are important or even read up on these so you have a better understanding.

2. Make sure your attitude is right for note taking!

Listen to what is being said and pay attention. Sitting close to the front allows you to see everything clearly and stops any distractions.

3. In lecture: don't write down every single word.

By doing this you will only slow yourself down more and miss things later. One way I found useful was to abbreviate certain words which I knew I would remember. Highlight or underline bits you don't understand or aren't sure of to research later and make a note of this in your diary.

4. Try to use your own words when making notes.

This helps you to get a grip with the information and will mean you aren't copying information when it comes to the exam and prevents plagiarism. You are also more likely to understand it if you put it into your own words as copying isn't always the best way to learn.

5. Note the style of the lecture.

All your different lecturers will no doubt have different styles when presenting so it's best to know how they do it to make the most of it. Whether they present unsing powerpoint or just talk at you, make a note of how it's present it as a basis for your notes and organise them accordingly.

6. Make a note of any important websites/books/articles.

By doing this it gives you a whole host of sources of information which you may need when it comes to writing an assignment/revision of exams and will help you no end. Most of my lecturers gave a reference list at the end of their lectures and I used these to research topics I wasn't so sure on.

7. Organise your notes after lecture.

Make a note of the title and date on every single sheet so you can organise your notes as a sort of timeline. It's also best to go to the library and type your notes up so they are fresh in your mind and add any extra information you may want. Research the bits you weren't sure of and add this in now. It also helps to read through everything you took down in the next 24 hours as it has been proven you remember your notes better if read in this time frame.

My New Super High Tech Laptop!

Okay so over the past few days I've been wanting a new laptop really badly. Don't ask me why. But I've had a nightmare getting hold of the one I actually really wanted after being let down so many times by Argos. Whenever I found a really good one, it was out of stock and were no longer stocking them! But last night I searched and searched and eventually found my laptop.

This morning I got up super early and headed down to Argos and here we are, I am officially blogging from my new laptop! Here are some piccys:

It's That Time Of Year Again Academically....

Well I'm still feeling bad about neglecting my blog over the last few weeks but university has also been a pretty much permanent fixture in my mind and the fact it's not even very far away any more. It's coming up to the end of August, the time when we are all starting to think about university again after enjoying all this time off. We have to make decisions about which modules we want to take and how out timetable will look. We have to think about work and what this will mean in the second/third year. We will also be thinking about socialising and how important this is regardless of the fact we are at university!

Thus, August/September can be a mind draining time as I'm sure you'll agree.

Well, that's why I decided to make a list of everything that needs to be thought about before starting the new/second/third year at university and why. Because not only will this help me organise my mind, it might help you too.

First up is moving into your new house/back into halls or commuting. By now you all would have thought about this and made a decision on which is best for you. If you are moving into halls or living in a shared house with friends, be careful what you pack. If some of you are on your second year now as I am, you know full well that what you packed last year was mostly junk and had to buy mostly new things (or maybe not but that's what happened to me!). So remember to pack essentials and not stuff that is just going to clog up the car and make unpacking longer.

Speak to your new house mates (if you're going to be in a house with mates), as there is no point buying 5 kettles/toasters etc. when you could all save money and put a little kitty together for all of these things.

If you have decided to commute it, make sure your incomings and outgoings are all planned. The majority of people who decide to commute chose this option to save money as I did this year, but there's no point if it doesn't save you any money in the long run. Remember to make a plan of all your outgoings and incomings for this as I went over last year in my money guide for university.

Next thing to think about is stationary. I admtted earlier that I am a bit of a stationary freak and absolutely love buying new stuff. Maybe you don't need any extra but it is worth going back and organising all your notes ready for the new year. Get some new folders, clips, paper, a new diary, etc. ready for the new academic year and you'll be well ahead! By doing this you are preparing yourself ready for getting back into study and will be ready for anything when you start.

Now, I don't know about you but thinking through all of this sorta stuff does kind of depress me. It's knowing that just around the corner is more assignments, essays, project work even when you really don't feel like it. For some good advice, check out CollegeView's guide on beating back to school blues. Don't forget about your friends either. Maybe make time to meet up with all your old mates from last year and it might help you relax a little bit for the academic year. Also, you might not realise it now but further down the line, you may need your friends for some help on a certain bit or work, group work or anything like that so it does pay off to stay close to your friends regardless.

Money is going to be a big worry for all of us, especially when circumstances change from last year. If it's your first year, then check out my guide on money issues, but if not, then you probably know a bit on organising your money this time round. However, it still helps to plan things out, like when your grants and bursaries will hit your account, your pay days from work etc. make a note of every single one in your diary so you know exactly what is going on this year. When it comes to money it really doesn't help to be un-organised. I've found a few useful websites on organising your money which may be of use:

Remember to balance university/social and work life well. You don't want any of these to suffer but learning to balance these will help you no end. If you do find yourself falling behind, stop and think for a second. Figure out why it is you are falling behind and why. Maybe write it all down or brainstorm to plan your mind out and figure out ways to resolve these conflicts. If it means staying in one night rather than going out then so be it - there will always be plenty more nights out.

If like me you're in your second year, you may also be thinking about the future and what's next. The better prepared you are, the better start you will have - so thinking about it now will put you in good stead. Mostly, these are the three main choices after finishing university:

1. Further study
2. Full time work
3. Gap year

Each one has it's pro's and con's and if you aren't sure right now, write these down and think about them. Research your options on the internet, at your careers advice at uni, with friends and family, and so on. But remember - it doesn't matter if you have no idea what you want to do. You still have time to think and who knows, maybe you next modules will show you.

Craving Motivation?

Today I found myself feeling really bad about neglecting my blog and letting all of you who read it down and I want to make it up to all of you. Recently I've had no motivation at all and I thought, "why the hell am I acting like this?" And I hate making excuses as well!

So this is my mid year resolution! I'm going to get back into my blog and not neglect it. Although I've been putting a lot of effort into my work experience and personal life, which are both really important to me, I miss being able to blog and express myself! So this is me telling myself (and everyone who is reading this) that I am going to get back into the swing of things and get back into the frame of mind.

Sometimes though getting motivated is a lot harder than it seems and don't I know it.

Generally, if there is something you hate doing, you're less likely to want to do it. And if you enjoy it then you're more likely to want to do it. Also, I find that the longer things are put off, the harder it is to get motivated. So sorting that letter out, getting out and getting a job, etc. is better not left till the very last minute. But how do you go about this?

Figure out when you're in the best frame of mind to do that certain thing. For example, studying needs major motivation sometimes from me and I find that I'm more motivated in the evening and definitely not the morning. But you might find that evenings are the time when you feel relaxed and have no push at all and so mornings might be best for you. Once you've realised when the best time is, maybe make a timetable if it's something that requires regular attention. Put the timetable somewhere which you see every day, on your fridge, at your computer desk, even in the bathroom. Putting it somewhere like that will remind you every day what it is you are working towards or what it is that needs sorting. Have a think whether a timetable would suit the way you are however, as some people don't work will under rigid rules and will only make you want to rebel!

Sometimes I find that writing your goals down helps so much more. I write my goals on my blog and find it helps sort my brain out and organise myself so why not try this? Give yourself a time limit too, and don't make the goals too far flung. Maybe even set alerts on your mobile or work calendar to remind yourself! If you want further info, have a read of this: Characteristics of effective gaols which has some helpful ideas to think about when setting yourself goals.

Break your big goals into little, more manageable goals. Think about your big goals for example: Get A grades on my assignments, but this really doesn't help you achieving this. Think about how you are going to achieve this goal, for example: Create timetable to follow and get help with anything I don't understand. These seem less intimating and you are probably more likely to follow these.

Remember not to push yourself too far. Goals are a good thing but sometimes you really can over-do yourself by working too hard. When I started my first year at university I was struggling to balance work, personal and academic life and one of those was sacrificed, mostly academically as I found my grades weren't as good as hoped. This year however I've learnt from my mistakes and have started to plan ahead and will not be pushing myself like I was before. Always remember you need time to relax, go shopping, see friends etc. and planning ahead will help this.

Get help if you need it. The last thing you want to do is set yourself all these goals and feel like you are out of your depth. Getting help from family, friends, etc. really does work wonders - I know from personal experience. Speak to people, discuss your goals, even involve them in the things you're doing and it really will help. Not only does an extra person motivate you to keep going, but you will spur each other on and reach your goal quicker.

If friends or family aren't available, why not search the internet for like-minded forums and join in, especially if it's a long term goal like losing weight or exercising. My mum regularly uses forums for advice and information which she might not have got from me or friends.

Preparing For Year Two at University

Hi there!

I cannot believe it but this year has gone so quick! We are nearly at the end of July already which means there is only a few more months until we go back to university again. I personally have been thinking hard about the new academic year and what it is going to mean for me, as I'm sure you guys are too.

So, thought I would put a bit of a guide together of all the things which have been going through my mind to help you along the way. I've also been doing so much research and asking different people what the second year is like and I thought this might be helpful to you too.

Passed or Failed?

First of all, you may have received your grades from last year. If you passed - well done and keep up the good work! If you failed however - do not despair. There are so many different options which you may not realise are available to you. As soon as you can, try and speak to your module leader and see what your options are. They will talk you through what it is you failed on and find ways of overcoming this, or even transferring onto a different course. What ever you decide to do though, do not think of it as a failure or a waste of time. You have gained experience from this and can only go forward!

Some of you might also be retaking some exams you either missed or didn't quite make the grade. Again, don't panic, make the most of this extra time to revise HARD. Make sure you get a good night's sleep, eat well and feel good whilst revising and before your exam. I will be writing an article on how to ace exams so watch out for this soon!

Work experience

If you think about it, there are way more people going to university than before and so you need to find something which sets you above all the other people who will be graduating in two years time. Now that your first year is over, you might be starting to think about your future and what you want to once you've finished. Also, your course may be offering a placement module (as mine is) and so you need to start thinking about whether you want to do this module and where you are going to do it. Visit your careers advice service at your university and find some work experience placements they might be advertising. They may also be able to point you in the direction of volunteer work or work experience conventions to get yourself involved in.

Not only will gaining experience in your spare time look good on your CV, it demonstrates you can work on your own initiative and puts you above all the other people coming out of university with no experience. So use this spare time until you go back to university to take part in this and it will help you sooo much.

Preparing for study next year

The second year of university is generally going to be harder than the first. This is because (in the case of my course - Geography BSc) the first year covers lots of A-level information for people who have never done it before. The second year brings in new information which you may not know and in more detail and so you could find this harder. To counter this, you need to study harder than you did in the first year and work to develop your skills further. For example time management and organisational skills are all very important to organise yourself. These skills are also very important after university so you need to be able to demonstrate you are proficient in this skills.

Get yourself organised with new books for your modules and file your old notes away properly - you never know when you will need these! Try and get hold of module times and make a provisional timetable so you can organise your life around your new timetable.

Research your options after university

As well as sorting yourself out academically, you need to think carefully about your future too. So researching on the internet, going to the library and asking around for advice on travelling, studying abroad, working or just taking a year out will all help you decide what to do after university. Trust me, the earlier you figure what you are going to do, the better chance you have at succeeding by planning it now.

Decide where you are going to live/who to live with

By now you should have decided what you are going to do for accommodation for the next academic year but if you haven't definitely sort it out now. Think about how much your budget/loan will cover per month and the kind of place you want to live. Do you want to live with your parents still because it's cheap, but not close to uni? Or do you want to live with friends? Or how about living in private accommodation somewhere else? These are all things you need to consider.

Make sure your finances are organised before you get there

Budgeting is the key to living well at university. If you spent all your money on going out last year and none for everything else, learn from your mistakes and plan this year and STICK TO IT. Have you ever thought about having a clothes swapping party (or swishing)? I know I hadn't until recently. I've got to that stage where I'm thinking about the holiday coming up but I feel really bored with a lot of the clothes I have in my wardrobe. And I hate to admit this but sometimes buying cheap isn't always the best thing to do as I seem to get bored of the cheaper bits quite easily.

So, I thought, rather than chuck all these old clothes away or give them to a charity shop, maybe I could have a clothes swapping party! Not only is it a great excuse to have a party and meet up with mates, you aren't chucking anything out and you might come back with some new ones. Still not convinced?

environmentally friendly + social + saving money + mates + fun + party = the best clothes swapping party!

And you aren't just limited to clothes either. They can be bags, scarves, hats and accessories which all help to add to an outfit.

So if you are planning on having one yourself, here are some tips for having a great clothes swapping party:

Make sure everyone brings at least one item otherwise it wouldn't be very fair.

Put on some food and drink to make things more interesting.

Don't be clingy with your clothes - just think about the last time you wore this particular piece of clothing and how long it was since you last wore it. Do you reaaallly need it?

Try to include a mix of cheaper items and more expensive items from your wardrobe to make things fairer and organise it so everyone knows the approximate price.

Don't let there be any fighting or squabbling over items!

Have a countdown - give everyone time to browse through everything and then announce when swishing can start.

You could even make it a fund raiser and have fun at the same time!

Make sure there is somewhere for people to try the items on, with at least one full length mirror.

If one item is popular with the girls, you may want to do a draw so there is no bickering.

Ask everyone to make sure each item is clean and ironed beforehand and at an acceptable level. No excessively worn clothes should be brought.

Try to encourage people to try things on before taking them. This stops people from picking everything up which might not fit.

Things That Inspire Me

Have you ever sat down and thought what it is that inspires you? What is it that you love and affects the way you live your life, the way you dress etc.? Today was the day when I actually thought about what inspires me and why, and so to document this I've decided to put a collection of images, videos and articles which have especially inspired me over the past 6 months or so.

Back in January I did a post on 1940's fashion on a budget and included a clip from The Notebook. Little did I know that this film would have such a detrimental effect on me and how I view life. So this is number one of my inspirational nibblets - not only did I find their fashion just so clean cut and sexy, but it was also their manorisms during this period which most of us don't do nowadays. I'm talking romance and dancing, fairground rides and boat rides out on lakes. The story of The Notebook is just so hopelessly romantic and beautiful, I challenge anyone not to be affected by it, as it's also about different social classes and two people who have to overcome ths to be together.

The final thing which inspired me the most was the love of the two people throughout the film. Even during the end when dementia takes over, Noah still reads to Alli to bring back her memory and gets so upset when she forgets, it really was upsetting at the end!

Well tomorrow I am leaving to visit Alex from university who lives down in Bury St. Edmunds and I am so excited! It's been way too long since I've seen her and have never been there before so I am realllllyy looking forward to it.

This unfortunately means no posting until Thursday when I am back :( But, I do have some things lined up whilst I am away so watch out for these, and when I get back I will be including full photos and events! We plan on visiting London and I will definitely be getting lots of goodies from there so I will update you all when I am back!

I don't know about you but I can't help but notice that cute, summery shorts are everywhere at the moment and I do love them. They are comfy and practical, but worn with the right things they can be classy and sexy and that's what I like about them. I recently bought some blue stripped shorts from Dorothy Perkins and they are so so cute - It's like, I'm going through a phase of wearing nothing else but these shorts.

Alton Towers!

A couple of weeks ago I went to Alton towers and it was amazing! Finally got round to posting the pictures I took on my blackberry on the day (no camera :( ) and I had such a good time! I was so so nervous about it beforehand but I'm like that with everything. So I managed to build up the courage and went on pretty much every roller coaster!

It was super hot that day and I got burnt on one shoulder! I didn't realise it would be so hot and so didn't take any sun cream with me. I bought one coaster photo, the only good one that Ellie would allow me to buy haha.

Hey guys,

Hope you are all enjoying the nice weather we've been having recently and making the most of it! I've been busy booking a holiday in August to Turkey and have just passed my driving test! So I've been out celebrating and searching for cars + insurance and I suppose this is my excuse for the lack of posts recently. I can tell you that it was the scariest test I have ever taken in my life and was the worst experience. But it is now all done and don't have to worry about it ever again!

I did also just want to say thanks to everyone who is still visiting, there will definitely be more good stuff to come!

My Plans for Summer!

Last week I went to Alton Towers and it was great! Me and my good friend Ellie went on all the rides even though I was so so scared! It's been something like 5 years since I've been so was really scared. But in the end it was amazing and hot and I had a really good day. However, I'm now thinking what I should do for the rest of the summer. As well as working, I've decided to make a list of all the things I want to do before summer is over especially if the weather stays this nice. So here is my list!

Going Swimming.

Eating lots and lots of ice cream.

Sun bathing (of course with sun lotion).

Reading my books in the local park.

Going shopping for some summery clothes ready for holiday!

Going for a nice stroll around town.

Sitting in the pub garden with cocktails.

Refuse to complain about the heat, but moan when it's gone cold.

Trying on all my old bikinis and have a clear out of the ones I don't want any more.

Write.

Drinking lots of ice cold drinks.

Visiting friends!

Going strawberry picking.

Taking trips on my scooter just for the fun of it.

Planning what I will do when Autumn and Winter come.

Start to learn a new language that I always said I would (and this time I'm going to do it!)

Going to London.

Going on a day trip with someone.

Enjoy my own company.

Contact old friends who I've lost contact with.

Have a water fight!

Doing karaoke at least once.

Watching the sun rise.

Baking a cake and take to a picnic.

Having LOTS OF PICNICS.

Buying a sun hat and wearing it.

Summer Essentials - Beachwear Part Two

Here is number two of my Summer Essentials. Part One covered the bikinis and swimsuits which suit different body shapes so if you need any inspiration on this, check it out. The next part in the series is covering what to wear when you're at the beach or when it's hot but which can be transferred through day to night. If you don't know what I mean, I'm talking - dresses/tops/trousers to cover you up a little bit more but which still keeps you cool in the heat. Not only will the following outfits keep you cool, they also look GREAT, and can be transferred from day to night.

So what kinda thing am I talking? Take a look.

Feel free to mix and match all the accessories as I only put these on for ideas. All together it might look a bit overwhelming. To transfer this onto a night look, add some nice heels and there you go!

Summer Essentials - Beachwear Part One

Going on holiday this year? I am hoping to be and I CANNOT WAIT to get shopping for some new things for holiday! But, not all of us have bodies to die for and most of us all have a hang up of some sort about our body. But rather than be depressed about it, or swear to yourself that going to the gym two months beforehand is going to fix them, why not embrace them? Make the most of what you've got! Not sure how to do it? Here are a few tips I've read on the internet or magazines that might help you when choosing a bikini/tankini/swimsuit:

Girls with big boobs - If you have a big bust, underwire provides support but can look a bit ugly and the general look of under wired bras is not always flattering. So, try halter neck bikinis that provide support but also look gorgeous. In addition, buy swimsuits with high cut necklines, or ones with ruffles and patterns elsewhere which draw attention away from your breasts.

Girls with small boobs - You can buy lots of swimsuits and bikinis now with adjustable padding to add if you feel you need to increase the size of your breasts. You could also look for bikinis where you can adjust the pull between the cups, which can help to create more cleavage.

Girls with a boyish figure - It might be best looking for swimsuits that have high cut legs, ones that have ruffles to add detail, and also tie up bikinis which add extra detail to your sides. You could also go for a low cut neckline to show off your boobs to create a more feminine look.

Girls who are curvaceous - Girls who are curvaceous should draw attention to their best bits and if this means you have great boobs - go for halter neck bikinis to attract the eye there. If you are pear shaped but hate your bum, go for darker coloured bottoms to draw less attention here and upwards instead. We all know that black is a slimmer! Wherever it is you feel uncomfortable about, avoid frills or ruffle bits around these areas to make you feel happier and draw the eye away from there.

Girls who are short - low cut bikinis are great as they lengthen the torso and a halter neck style top helps draw attention to your boobs. These both look good, and draw attention away from the bits you may not like so much.

Girls with big thighs - high leg cuts are great for making your legs look longer but without revealing too much flesh. You could also go for detail which is centred around your boobs and top half which draws attention away from your legs if this is what you're worried about. Remember that darker colours are slimming, so lighter colours up top and darker colours blow are great for this.

Girls who are pear shaped - Tankinis are great for pear shaped women - they cover your stomach if you would rather hide it and also cover the top half of your legs and balances your figure out. You could also go for halter neck or plunging bikinis or swimsuits as these draw attention from your wide hips and thighs. Boxer style shorts are to be avoided as these accentuate your hips.

Do remember though, everyone is beautiful regardless of shape.

Getting Used To a New City

Hi all, hope everything is all good! So, I've been thinking a lot recently about when I first started going to university and how difficult I first found it. If you are a student, do you remember how you felt when you arrived at a new city ready to start your university life(does not include the people who studied at home hehe)? Do you remember how difficult or how easy it was now you were independent and didn't know anyone yet?

I can tell you that although I was a little nervous about being in a new town all on my own, I was also very, very excited. The reason for this was because no one knew me, I had no enemies and I felt I could be who I was without having to worry.

The other kind of excitement was the fact I was going to university for the first time and this was completely new to me. It's like jumping into the thing you'd always dreamed of doing and I was so so excited. This kind of enhanced the thought of living in a new place which came with the university experience.

So what do you do now you're here? One thing which I believe the best advice is be yourself. If maybe before you came to university you tried hard to be someone you weren't, just being yourself gives you a break and people will see you for who you are. Don't try to fit in. Also, first impressions do count and so try to create the best first impression you can.

Talk to people. Don't be shy in your new town! At some point, a lot of people are the 'new kid' and I bet there are others in the same situation. By talking to people and swallowing your pride, you'll build up your confidence and meet some great people. It will also take the edge off feeling alone if you don't know many people yet. Taking risks can sometimes pay off and in the sense of throwing yourself into the deep end, definitely try it.

Now that you're all settled, why not explore your new town/city? Take a walk around your new place and the city centre and see what the place has to offer. I have to say this was the bit I most enjoyed. I got to see beautiful new architecture, go shopping in a new place and I took walks around the local park. You could also visit some art galleries or museums or get a cup of tea at a nice local cafe. There are many more things you could do, try it!

If there was something you always wanted to do but never got to do it at your old home, why not take it up now? For example take up evening classes, join the gym and take up new sports to meet more people, do some charity work, etc.

Remember to stay in touch with friends from back home though. The worst thing you could do is move to a new city and forget everyone from back home. It won't make them feel very good (unless you really do want to forget everything from home) and won't do you any good. You could even send letters to your old mates to keep in touch, I love receiving letters!

When I remember back, I felt so depressed the first week! But to be honest having these kind of feelings are completely normal and you probably won't just get these kind of feelings at the start either. It takes time to adjust to new things and so don't worry if you feel lonely, sad or depressed - they are to be expected from uprooting yourself from comfort. Remember, there is always light at the end of the tunnel and these feelings won't last. Just get yourself out there and get busy and enjoy it!

Festival Fashion

If some of you are anything like the people I know, you'll be going to at least one festival this summer. Although I don't particularly enjoy going to festivals, I do love looking at fashion inspired by the sometimes muddy surroundings, warm weather and a casual style and I LOVE the music. So, I thought I would take a look at the current fashion trends suitable for festivals to give you inspiration if you are planning on going to one this year.

Desire Clothing has clothing at an affordable price but which is bang on trend and I love it. Jeans and big T shirts/vests are great for festivals as they are practical but also fashionable. Wear either flats or flip flops depending on the weather.

Asos have some amazing dresses and denim pieces at the moment that you can either team together or wear them separate. Festival style has a sort of I-don't-care feel about it but which is effortless.

Boohoo show that you can also wear lace with big boots and big bags. It tones down the pretty girly feel of lacy tops and dresses and is comfortable to wear as well. Boohoo are budget friendly so if you do ruin them whilst away you can always buy another to replace.

Although Topshop are how looking at collections for a summer fete, why not extend this to your festival? The high waisted shorts and pretty skirts can be worn with military style boots and jewellery. You could also wear the demin dresses with this style as well so give it a try!

New Look offer some beautiful tops and accessories for your time at the festival. Along the same theme as the others, team denim with pretty tops, and top it all off with big leather bags and straw hats.

So, as you can see there are loads of current bits to choose from for your stay away at the festival. Remember to take lots of photos and enjoy the music. Most of all though, have fun!

Skegness!

Well I got back from Skegness yesterday and for any of you who don't know what Skegness is like, picture: salty air, arcade machines, loud bass music, noisy modified cars going by every 5 minutes, fish and chips and cold weather. If you can picture this and like the thought of it, definitely go to Skegness!

As soon as we got there I had to put on 4 layers which included a fleece and coat, and also leggings underneath my jeans - it was absoultely FREEZING! It said it was supposed to be 17 degrees but it felt more like 10 below this :( Here are some pictures I got along the way. Also, sorry about the poor quality, I can't find my camera and so had to take piccys with my 2 mp camera phone...

The Arcade along the main strip - open from at least 9am until very very late. It was huge and I swear some of the people in there had been sat on the same seats for hours. After collecting something like 450 tickets I got a cute pink picture frame and a Union Jack key ring! Awesome. Also, I wasn't supposed to be taking photos in here... Naughty me, never mind!

This is the beach front looking at the roller coaster at Pleasure Beach. Although the town bit is a bit boring after a while, the beach has a sort of traditional feel about it and it was nice to just sit here and look at the sea.

The beach! It actually looks really nice and was quite empty by the time we got there. It was absolutely freezing though. The little boy in the picture is James' little 5 year old nephew. The big clouds rained out at sea rather than on us which was a plus haha. You can also see the wind farm which is about 1/2 mile out at sea. They were actually quite fascinating to look at.

The clock tower at Skegness. Look how busy it is! Out hotel was a little further down from this bit and we spent a lot of the time around this area with donuts, rock and fish and chips. Yummy.

Billy Butlin at the railway station. By the time we were on our way back, both of us were so so tired and glad to be going home. You really do appreciate living in a city rather than near the beach, it's so much warmer back home!

The blue wind shelters on the beach in Skegness. They had a sort of rustic feel about them that takes you back some decades and made me think about what it was like in the 1930's and 40's.

Hey guys! Although it's pretty miserable and gloomy today, my personalised necklace I got for my brithday from my lovely boyfriend has arrived! I'm off to collect it in a little while and will have some piccys to show later. But, we all know it's also bank holiday weekend! YAY! I am off to Skegness (East Midlands fav place to be during bank holidays and/or when the weather is nice haha) with some of James' family.

To me this equals:

The peer - fish and chips - 2p machines - bingo - lots of photos - salty hair and skin -bed & breakfasts - shopping - sand - swimming and bathing suits - family fun - sports - seagulls - the sound of waves - not so warm weather (as Britain generally goes) - rain - waterproofs - arcades - bucket and spade - flip flops -sunsets and sunrises - kites - frisbys!

And many many more, but this is what I've got to look forward to! Although the weather isn't going to be tropical, I'm still looking forward to travelling on the train with my boyfriend and being able to write to my hearts content!

So I hope everyone is making the most of this weekend if you do end up working and have a great one! Photos to follow when I get back!

What To Do Now University is Over (For The Summer Anyway)

In a few days it's going to be June, and you know what that means, summer holidays! My exams have all been done now but I'm aware there may still be some of you guys who are still going through them or have only just finished. So the next thing on your mind may be what to do now you have all this spare time? I know it has been for me. So I've put a lit together of all the things I've considered over the past couple of weeks, some of which I have started to chase up. I know a lot of you don't want to spend the summer being bored so here are 20 ideas to get your brain going!

Plan a cheap break away with friends/partner. If you read my guide on how to have a truly amazing holiday, this bit shouldn't be too hard. Having a break now and then really does do wonders for you and the way you feel. So plan a holiday, even if it's just a few days, and it doesn't have to be abroad either and it really will make a difference to you.

Look for work experience. Giving your labour and services away for free may not sound so great but a lot of people don't realise how useful doing work experience can be. When you've finished your degree and are ready for the world of work, it can be extremely difficult to get a job in the area you want to be as many of them require experience. Therefore, doing work experience now can lead to a better chance when it comes to applying for jobs, AND doing it in the area you want to progress in is even better.

Volunteer. Similar to the above, but volunteering for local councils by doing caring jobs, writing for free magazines, fund raising, etc. will make you feel good about yourself because you are doing something worthwhile, and it will help the people you are working with. You might even find a career.

Celebrate the end of exams with a party! Have a great party with all your friends and family and celebrate the fact you've done your exams and can finally relax!

Take up dog walking.Gives you and the dog exercise! You could even earn a little from doing it too.

Write a short story. Most of us have thought about writing a novel or short story at some point so why not take the chance while you have all this spare time and do it? Start by writing down the plots and characters and work from there.

Start a blog/journal. Express yourself and let your friends read it too!

Take a photo of every single day and put in an album. If you like taking pictures and getting out and about, why not try this? You can look back at it in September when you go back to uni.

Get another job/part time job. Filling up your now-free days with work may sound like a drag but all this extra money you will be earning can be either saved for a good cause or gives you extra spending money.

Organise events for your friends and family. What better excuse do you have to see all your favourite people now you have some extra time on your hands? Organise trips to the park, zoo, museums, etc.

Get in contact with old friends you haven't seen for months or even years. We all lose contact with people we used to be rally good friends with and sometimes uni can get in the way. If you're anything like me then after college it's hard to see the people you used to love being around and have made more friends. But don't forget the ones you used to have and get back in contact. It is definitely worth it.

Have a tea party. Organise some cakes and tea and invite your friends round to have a girly night in and gossip!

Learn a new skill. There is nothing bad about learning something you've always wanted to try and what better time to do it?

Donate to charity. This could be clothes, books, money, anything. it all helps!

Read a book. Reading not only expands your mind but it can be fun too! Whenever I start a good book I really can't put it back down again.

Visit local museums/castles/galleries - some may be free. Spend your free days travelling around your local town and visit all the places you haven't been yet. Take along your partner or friends and make it a day out. Remember your camera or notebook to capture it all!

Write your own autobiography or write someone's biography! This may sound quite boring but writing your own autobiography can be quite fun! Or you can interview one of your mates and do theirs!

Change your hairstyle or colour. If you fancy a change, why not try this out? I wrote a page on this earlier if you need any ideas.

Make a collage of everything you like. Cut out pictures from magazines, newspapers, anything that catches your eye and stick it on paper. You could stick it in a notebook as well and write down why you liked it. It could bring inspiration further down the line.

Learn some new words by reading the dictionary. Sometimes I do sit down and flick through the dictionary for any words I'm not familiar with. However this probably isn't to everyone's taste.

Last Day!

Well today marked the last day of lectures for this year at University for me! I cannot believe how quick it's gone! It also means the end easy peasy and the start of hard grafting from now on if I want to do well... Boo :(

So It was also voting day yesterday and it was my first time voting. I have to say I am really intrigued by all the press attention it gets as I don't remember anything like this in 2005 or it is just me? Mind you though, being able to vote gave me a real sense of worth, like me being able to vote is important and actually means something in this world. Or again this might just be me!

Anyway, I hope you enjoyed voting too and made the most of it and, if it's your last day at university too, I hope you enjoy it!! Here are a few photos of my time at uni so far with my friends :)

Sorry guys for the lack of posts recently. I've been bogged down with uni work and so this is my first post in a month!

I don't know about you but now the weather is turning nicer and is warmer, I feel a lot happier and feel like I want to have a clear out and start fresh. By this I'm talking in terms of my health! The past few months have been full of dreary weather which has made me turn to the comforting foods which are easy to make and now I feel bloated and fat. So that's why I've finally decided to kick myself up the backside and get motivated to eat healthily and exercise more.

Do you feel like that sometimes? If you do, here are a few things which I do to try and kick start myself back into a healthy lifestyle which does sag sometimes, but hey - nobody is perfect.

1. Join the gym.

Exercising has been proven to lift your mood as when you exercise your body releases chemicals which make you feel happier. Although sometimes I feel the gym is like a chore, the benefits are felt afterwards and I always feel good knowing I've been. Normally I only go for about 45 minutes every 3 to 4 days as this is recommended for women to get the most out of the gym. Also, try keeping to goals as these will motivate you to work harder rather than you ending up wandering aimlessly looking at all the machines and wondering what to do.

If the gym you go to provide personal trainers, definitely take advantage of this. As I stated above, setting yourself goals helps a lot and so a personal trainer will motivate you and show you what will work best for the areas you want to work on. Just be careful not to go to the gym too much as your body will start to hold on to the fat and so will slow weight loss (if this is your aim).

If you don't fancy joining the gym, you could starting biking it to places which you might have driven to before. Or, offer to take your families pets for walks around the local park. This way not only do the pets get exercise and fresh air, you do too.

2. Plan a healthy diet.

Eating healthily is the key to detoxing and getting rid of the junk food you might be eating now. Remember to include fruit, vegetables, meat, fish, whole grains and rices. These all help create a balanced diet. I have found a really good website to use for reference is Weight Loss Resources. Not only does it uncover the secrets to the fad diets out there and how bad they are, but it also suggests unique ones that you can try based on how many calories you want to intake. There's also a food database to look up calorie content for most foods - definitely one website to take a look at.

3. Reduce portion sizes/eating sensibly.

We have all done it - pile a plate full of food and finished the lot because it was so nice, and I don't know about you but I was brought up to eat everything on my plate. But there are ways of overcoming this without leaving tonnes on the plate to go to waste.

Rather than filling the whole plate, use the inner boundary of the plate and don't go over. This stops you from eating extra than you need without it being completely bare.

Also, when you feel full, stop right away. A lot of us eat and eat without recognising that we are actually full and it takes a while before your stomach to let you know. Therefore, stopping when you feel full makes sense!

Another idea would be to only eat half of what is on your plate. Although this sounds like a drastic step, sometimes it really helps you control what you're eating but without looking completely rude. My mum ALWAYS filled my plate full of food and so I've found if I eat approx. half of what's on there I still feel satisfied. Also, I've found I tend to pile the plate up with food but this is definitely a habit to get out of.

Eat slower. As I mentioned above, your stomach only recognises that it's full after about 10 minutes of eating and so you won't initially realise you are full. By eating slower and chewing everything a little longer, it gives your stomach a chance to tell you when you are actually full. And remember - your stomach doesn't have teeth so help it out by chewing things properly!

I hope these tips have helped you, So far I've joined the gym and am on the way to eating healthier ready for that all important holiday in the summer! Let me know what you guys think.

Planning A Truly Great Holiday

We are now in April, and to me this always signals the start of warmer weather and holidays! Unless your thinking of going somewhere below the equator, you can be sure that by now it's starting to heat up elsewhere and so can plan that perfect holiday and enjoy it in the sun.

Just thinking about all the things we do on holiday is the start to planning the best holiday yet. There's the beaches, white sand between your toes, the exotic food, the little cobbled streets to explore, the new interesting shops, the galleries and museums and so on. I could go on forever thnking about this!

So the first step is to decide on where to go, what kind of holiday will it be, who to go with, and what you want to do whilst you're there. If you're not sure where you want to go, take a look at late deals which gives you an idea of where is cheap at the moment (if price is important to you). The best time to get the best prices is either way in advance, or very late. For the UK, I would definitely recommend Teletext Holidays as a great place to pick up a bargain. Many a time have I used this website for my holidays and I can honestly say there have been no problems at all. This is for the people who love organising it themselves right to the very last detail. But for the others, like me, you can decide how much is organised for you through them. Last Minute.com are another good website for picking up late deals, although you have to search to find a good deal! You could also check out Holidays-Uncovered.co.uk, which offer user reviews for holidays and places.

So where do you want to stay? I find that hostels are amazing for saving money and are generally good value for money, although you have to be careful with some. Hostels are good if you plan on moving around a bit rather than staying in one place, and also for city breaks as many are located in the centre of where everything happens. Hostelbookers.com provides a great list to search through to help you pick the one you want, with photos and reviews. Also includes some hotels in the mix too so all in all a good website to use.

Next thing to think about it currency. Shopping around for the best exchange rate is really important as there can be much competition out there. Some even offer to beat the best quotes you've been offered before. Also, it's worth researching on the internet as sometimes the place your going to can have better exchange rates, and some can be bought over the internet for cheaper than you would find in the shops. Once you have your currency, it's a good idea to plan out how much you want to spend per day, so you don't blow it all in the first few days, especially if you're going for a long period. For example, after your first day you know approximately how much food is going to cost (if you meals are not included), so plan it around that. So what do you fancy doing whilst on holiday? I find that researching on the internet is a great way to find reviews and ideas of what to do. Print a map off and mark down all the things you want to do and where they are! OMG and, you may even be able to do Google Street, which I did for Spain and it was absolutely lovely. It made me want to go even more. So it's worth trying that as it gives you an idea of what the place looks like in real terms and shows things you may not see on a map. You can't beat shopping in a new place. This, mixed with the new scenery and weather makes for a magical experience and I absolutely love it.

The next step is what to pack. This is the most challenging thing for me as I either pack too little (trying to save space) or I pack too much, thinking I will need everything! So I've put a little list together of the absolute essentials for you, without using up the whole weight limit so you can't bring anything back!

Here is the very basic list which I would recommend taking, although feel free to include extras or remove some of these if you feel they aren't needed, especially depending upon the season:

A few vest tops for layering

A nice dress for the evening

A pair of linen trousers

Comfortable shoes for the day time - ballerina style maybe

Your favourite bikini

A cardigan (as I've noticed it can be quite chilly in the evenings in hot places)

Toiletries:

Small containers and clear bottles in case you are travelling with hand luggage only

Shampoo and conditioner

Make up - only the bare essentials like tinted moisturiser or foundation, and concealer (preferably with SPF), a couple of eye liners, waterproof mascara, a few eye shadows, etc. Only the bare essentials.

Moisturiser, primer, toner for your skin

Finally, deodorant and some perfume.

Extras:

Passport holders to keep all your documentation together

Camera + extra batteries

Notebook/journal to write down all your adventures

Mac/laptop to keep in contact with friends and family whilst you are away (optional)

Universal plugs for your electricals + chargers

First aid kit with all the tablets and things you may need

Magazines, books or newspapers to keep you occupied during the flight, or any travel

Sweets/chocolate also for the flight or whilst waiting to board

Towels for the beach and your room (I don't really like using hotel laundry)

Accessories!

If you don't want to go mad on these I would probably just go for a few bangles, earrings and necklaces which match a lot of the clothing you're taking with you.

Sunglasses, neck scarves and head scarves to ad a little glamour to your look.

And finally, enjoy yourself + eat lots + drinks lots + take lots of photos!

What to do with....

Your Old Jars and glass!

So here I was, thinking about ways to make my room cosy and comfy, when I noticed that some of the candles which are lit pretty much every night had run out! I've been left with two empty small glass pots and it got me thinking. What could I now do with these? Then It occurred to me that there were other jars which I had thrown away needlessly into the bin which could have been re used.

So if you have old jars, cups, glasses which you no longer want or need, try re-using them. Here are some ideas!

Make home made jam and store in empty jars

Grow cress in them, or any other small herbs for that matter

Use them as storage for your earrings, especially fish hook ones which can be draped over the edges

Paint them using glass paint which can be bought from craft shops and decorate with sequins, feathers, etc. rather than throwing away

Recycle.

Use to store herbs/pasta/seeds or anything that's small enough to fit in.

Use to store hair clips/bands

Put your old pens, utensils, paintbrushes in funky glass cups or jars

Re fill old candle holders with new candles and allow to melt, so that the wax leaves lovely shapes around it.

Fill with scented potpourri as decoration

Throw all your small change in and raid once Christmas or something important comes around

Use them to pickle your own onions or beetroot (extremely simple and easy to do)

Use as a junk holder for your keys, small change, needles etc!

Store all your threads for sewing or knitting in re used jars

Finally, decorate your kitchen with varying sizes of jars on shelving for that extra country kitchen look.

How To Have The Best Year Yet

Have you ever thought, "what's the point"? Or why our lives revolve around money so much? Or are you waiting for that special someone to sweep you away and make your life amazing? There are so many expectations we have for our lives that we forget about the basic things that make us happy and are constantly criticising everything we do. I have felt like this on many occasions and can totally relate if you feel the same way. But, human beings are naturally creative and curious creatures, therefore, we all strive for better things. So, what are you waiting for??

I know it isn't as easy as changing your life in an instant. It takes time and your determination. That's why I've put a few helpful hints together for you to achieve the life you want which starts today!

As I stated above, many of us have the mindset that we should please those around us and should conform to what everyone else is doing. But this is completely unhealthy for us, so how do we break free from this?

First off, think about all the things which you question. Be it your relationship, your job, the course you currently study, and so on. Why is it that you are unhappy with certain aspects of these things but are so unwilling to change your circumstances? Write it down so you can tackle them one by one.

Now, think about how you can improve these things and break free from the constraints of society. Think specifically how you are going to go about this. From the littlest things like listening to the music which you actually enjoy, and not what your friends enjoy, to getting out of that relationship which you no longer want to be in. Although the latter sounds drastic, if it is the relationship which you are currently in that is holding you back then you need to let go.

You also need to be determined and believe in yourself. Giving up and being stuck is the easy way out, but it also a life sentence of unhappiness. By believing in the things you want and how you are going to get them is different to just wanting. Telling yourself that you deserve to be happy over and over will eventually stick. So, look at the things you wrote down earlier and think about how your life will change once you've changed them. Do it over and over and it won't look so daunting after all.

Setting yourself goals, and when you want to achieve these is also a fantastic way to push yourself. But try not to push yourself too much by setting short time limits, or by being too vague by setting long ones. Be realistic in these goal limits and you will feel better about it and will want to achieve these.

Be optimistic and assertive! I cannot stress how important these two things are, especially with your goals. Being optimistic gives you that confidence to believe you can achieve anything you want and makes you push for those things. So next time you are having doubts about your goals for this year, don't think you can't do it, tell yourself that you CAN do it and that you WILL! Being assertive your new mindset stops you from relapsing back to the old way of thinking. So don't question yourself, be strong and tell yourself what you want to do.

Finally, sometimes taking time out to relax and unwind from our hectic lifestyles really really helps. If you feel as though you need time to sort your life out before changing any of the things I mentioned above, why pack up and have a holidays on your own or with mates? Road trips, beach holiday, camping, you name it, do it! It will really help you relax and sort yourself out.

And remember::

Living life according to other people does not allow you to breathe and be free! Although being different takes confidence and is proven to be harder than just 'fitting in' it will only benefit you in the long run.
